Community Crash Reports
The New Mexico Community Reports provide in-depth crash data on each county and many of the municipalities in New Mexico. NMDOT encourages local communities to use these Community Reports to aid in identifying local problems and making data-driven policy decisions. NMDOT believes the most effective local solutions are based on good local information, such as that provided by these reports.

For the purposes of these reports, data are compiled by the University of New Mexico, Geospatial and Population Studies, Traffic Research Unit (TRU), on behalf of the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT). Data in these reports may differ from that in other data sources, such as the Federal Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), due to the timing of publications and rules for how data are compiled and maintained in Federal vs. State databases.
