Jessica joined Geospatial and Population Studies in 2013 as a UNM freshman doing data entry for the Traffic Research Unit. When she advanced further into her computer science degree, she was asked to join the programming side of the Traffic Research Unit. She has helped develop software solutions, such as the program which deduces missing information on the vehicle body style using the VIN, or vehicle identification number. Jessica focuses on Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS). She is in charge of ensuring the secure electronic transfer of TraCS records and maintaining the SQL database of TraCS records
